SafeTeens.org, which is sponsored by the Pennsylvania Department of Health and run by Maternal & Family Health Services, Inc. (MFHS), is an online resource for teens across the country for reliable health information, including understanding and preventing teen pregnancy, building healthy relationships and protecting teen health. Originally launched in 2002, the site was redesigned in 2011 with todays teen in mind and integrates many new interactive features. The new site has expanded to address current issues facing teens, such as online safety and resources for LGBTQ teens. The website is also a direct link for Pennsylvania teens who are seeking confidential access to a family planning health center.

The addition of the Man Cave touches on specific questions male teens have about a variety of topics. Safe sex is discussed, including how hormonal contraception works in a womans body. The importance of consent and respecting your partner is also highlighted. The articles were based on feedback from site users, family planning health center staff and SafeTeens.com Facebook fans.

Teens can also get connected with a family planning health center in their community to get tested, learn more about good sexual health. The Man Cave links directly to health centers across the state that offer male STD testing and education. Other health centers may also offer testing to male teens as male services continue to expand across the state. SafeTeens.org will continue to update their listings as more services become available. The site also plans to expand the Man Cave throughout 2012 with additional articles, videos and interactive elements.
